The Saturn Sky possesses all of the potential to take charge in a whole new way. I installed the Trifecta tune on my factory stock 2008 Saturn Sky Redline a few months ago. Performance wise, it gives the necessary kick in the head that can leave the field in the dust, demanding driver satisfaction every time. Both Base and Red Line trim levels were offered, with the base. The Sky was offered in a two door convertible body style that featured a folding cloth roof, and shared the same platform as the Pontiac Solstice. This sleekly styled convertible offers the kind of drummed up profile that has been missing in other Saturn models. The Saturn Sky was a family of sports cars that were introduced for the 2007 model year. The Saturn Sky is the brand's first attempt at a roadster, and they've scored big time! The Sky is everything that you've always hoped Saturn could be, boasting a host of traits that positively raise the bar for most in its class. Optional Sky configurations included LS7 engine, large brakes and turbo-charged versions exceeding 750hp. Both models had air conditioning, cruise control and power windows/locks included into the standard package. ![]() And again, two types of transmissions (5 speed manual/automatic) were available for both editions. The new 2009 base Saturn Sky was equipped with 2.4L 173hp engine, Red Line Edition had a turbocharged 2.0L 260hp unit. Both models Sky base and Sky Red Line were equipped with the same types of engines as the previous model year editions. There were several innovations applied to Saturn Sky parts, such as power driver's seat height adjuster, and leather covered steering wheel. Safety systems included ABS, an antiskid system, and traction control. The 2008 Sky editions got more standard equipment, air conditioning, cruise control, and power window locks. The Saturn vehicles, just like Saturn parts are no longer produced. For both editions Saturn Sky and Sky Red Line two types of transmissions were available (5-speed manual/automatic). It was a high-performance model equipped with a 4-cylinder turbocharged 260hp engine. In 2006 there was introduced a newer version of Saturn Sky – Red Line model. The Sky had 18” wheels and was equipped with a 2.4L 177hp engine. At least you don't have to worry about dinging other drivers' doors in the car park. The Saturn Sky was shown for the first time in 2005 at the North American International Auto Show, the production version was released one year later. then I noticed the hinge had been cut off, and I figured out "oh, I bet it swings up". At first, I went to open the door, and it swung open about 15 degrees then thud - no more. Last time I was at my local dealership, they had a Sky with the lambo-style swing-up doors, as part of a "kit" that they were charging $3k or so for, IIRC. I would like to see more pics of the interior. looks immature to me, but hey, like I said, that's just me. ![]() I know this is a personal taste thing, but I absolutely love the shiny bits on the stock lamps, and I really don't think it's wise to tint safety indicator lamps. The only thing I don't care for is the tinted covers on the tail lamps. ![]() Very cool! I don't usually like white cars (they remind me of washing machines or refrigerators or minivans or Ford pickups), but with the red stripes, it really looks sharp. ![]()
